Advance Addison 2050 Comprehensive Plan
Addison has created a new, draft Comprehensive Plan that aims to take our community to the next level and guide decisions and investments. The plan speaks to how we make use of and preserve our land, the character and feel of new development, housing, how we get around town, and economic development. It will shape the Addison of the future and build on our renowned reputation, moving us forward as we approach our 100th anniversary.
Inclusive community engagement is a critical part of the planning process to ensure that the Advance Addison 2050 Plan is built upon the input of everyone who loves our community. We thank you for your involvement to help shape our future! The Plan is currently under review by the City Council, and adoption is scheduled for January 27, 2026. 2025 Master Transportation Plan
Addison has created a new, draft Master Transportation Plan that will replace the 2016 Plan. It is the guiding document for all major transportation-related improvements within Addison. It addresses all modes of transportation including automobile, pedestrian, bicycle, and public transit and establishes goals and standards for each. We thank you for your involvement to help shape our future rights of way! The Plan is currently under review by the Planning and Zoning Commission, and adoption is scheduled for January 27, 2026.
